A brief look at the beginning of Boucheron in perfumery
For over 150 years before the release of the first Boucheron fragrance, the Paris-based company was lauded for its luxury designer jewellery.
The company had an impressive clientele which included royals and celebrities like Josephine Baker, Edith Piaf, Grace Kelly, Gwen Stefani, and Ava Gardner.
The company’s jewellery design inception was credited to the man who started the family-run business, Frederic Boucheron. It was because of Alain Boucheron in 1988 that the company decided to venture into perfumery.

First released in 1988, the fragrance was associated with the late Queen of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla, after its release, as it was widely known that the perfume was her signature scent.
