Stella by Stella McCartney perfume has been discontinued along with her entire fragrance range, with the suggested reason being her buying back full control of her brand.
Stella McCartney is a leading London-based designer who has achieved international acclaim as a pioneering designer. In 2003, the brand diversified into fragrances, with their first fragrance aptly named after the designer.
The fragrance was the first of many to have been released between 2003 and 2017, before McCartney discontinued her fragrance and beauty ranges.
This matter is believed to be related to her 2018 decision to reacquire control of her brand from conglomerate, Kering.
But fans of the Stella fragrance are still holding out hope that McCartney might reintroduce her fragrance line sometime in the future.

Stella was initially released in 2003 and was later discontinued, only to be reintroduced to the market in 2014, due to the demand for the floral fragrance for women. The fragrance was designed by Jacques Cavallier and its main accords include rose, floral, citrus, and fresh.
When it was relaunched in 2014, Lara Stone was the ambassador of Stella with a photo shoot and ad campaign that was shot in London.

The perfume’s initial release was in collaboration with YSL, however, when it was reintroduced, it was exclusively available through Harrods.
As such, the fragrance was always supported by a major retailer. This can be attributed to the fact that at the time, Stella McCartney, the brand, was co-owned by the conglomerate, Kering, which most likely mediated the deal.
However, in 2018, McCartney made headlines when it was confirmed that she had bought the other 50 percent of her brand which was previously owned by Kering.
Now that she has bought back her company, it seems that McCartney is looking to focus on the core of her brand, the fashion and clothes.
Not only is the Stella fragrance discontinued indefinitely, but the entire fragrance collection along with the beauty range have all been discontinued and they have also been removed from the website and retail stores.

Will Stella reintroduce Stella perfume in the future?
While there is no official word on the matter, fragrance aficionados that love the Stella perfume are holding out hope that the brand will reintroduce the fragrance in the future.
This is as Stella McCartney never released a formal statement when the brand decided to discontinue the fragrance and beauty line.
Hence, the belief is that after finding her footing as the sole owner of her brand, she will begin to reintroduce the brand’s fragrance and beauty ranges again.
